From the Classroom - M1 (Candice & Mrs Kennedy)

Over the past few weeks, M1 have been learning about narrative writing. We have explored text innovation by looking at the character of the Big, Bad, Wolf from the story of ‘Little Red Riding Hood,’ and we then created our own Wolf character. We used paint and other materials to design and create our character. Following this we wrote a character description and created a 'Wanted' poster of our wolves. We then delved deeper into the concept of story settings, and students used concrete materials to design a setting for their Wolf narrative and then wrote sentences to describe their setting. Our next step this week is to look at the structure of narratives, and put all our work together and write our narratives.
