NAPLAN 2022

NAPLAN 2022

Dear Parent/Carer,

In May this year our Year 7 and Year 9 students will be completing the 2022 NAPLAN (National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy) tests online.

Federal, state and territory education ministers agreed that all schools will gradually transition from the current paper-based tests to the computer-based assessments, with the aim for all schools to undertake NAPLAN online by 2022.

NAPLAN Online provides an adaptive assessment with more precise results and is more engaging for students. The assessments can run through a real-time internet connection or onscreen without an internet connection.

If you would like further information please watch the short clip: Understanding NAPLAN Online (2 min 11s) and  Tailored testing video (3 min 6s).

Significant planning, development, research and trialling have been carried out to make sure we are all ready to move NAPLAN online. Feedback about the online test has been positive, with students saying they find the format engaging.
