DISCORD AND OTHER VIDEO CHAT PLATFORMS:

It is quite understandable that students and parents have been looking for and using a variety of video chat platforms during lockdown. But with all online platforms, there are regulations, guidelines and safety issues.  One app that has cropped up amongst students, is DISCORD. This is a 13+ recommended app and when used in gaming chat rooms can be quite unsafe for primary school students.  The following link gives you some very important information regarding this app.

It is difficult for parents to keep up to date with the constant number of apps and software coming online.  The following link provides you with information about a new, free app for parents that helps you to find information on apps, websites, etc.  It is worth downloading to your phones.

CHROMEBOOKS:

Families who have not yet returned Chromebooks to school, are asked to do so tomorrow morning.  Every Chromebook is allocated to a student, so if there are Chromebooks still at home, there are students at school who are being inconvenienced.  Your attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated because they all belong to class sets which students use at school.
