Resilience, connections and spring
Encouragement is a vital ingredient to building community and spurring each other on.
Encouragement awakens us to new possibilities and often motivates us to greater heights.
Teachers through encouragement help your child to develop courage—courage to grow and develop into the people they want to be. Courage to feel capable, to be resilient, to enjoy life, to be happy and contributing members of society. So lets celebrate teachers together for all their determination and dedication through this period of time.
Spring is the season which is often associated with personal change and growth. This time it also signals hope and connection. While we see this as an opportunity for growth and learning, we do not discount the hardship many families' have faced during the last few months. The wellbeing team is available onsite to assist with transition to onsite learning and to also answer any concerns you may have related to your families' wellbeing.
Our wellbeing team have also developed a poster to reflect the theme of growth and resilience within our school this year. Please see below.

The well-being team at John Fawkner College aims to facilitate the growth and well-being of students alongside teachers, families and external organisations. Should you feel that your child may need support, or if you are a student and feel a classmate may need to speak with someone, we urge you to contact the school and/or well-being team . Referrals can also be made to external support services in cases where students require additional support.
