Secondary Athletics

Secondary athletics commenced with week with training on Wednesday followed by selection trials this afternoon.   The team will be competing against other Southern Independent Schools at the SSATIS Athletics Carnival, at the Domain on Tuesday 8 September.   

We wish the students all the very best in their preparations at training over the next two weeks, and for the event.

Secondary Hockey

This term Mount Carmel has a Year 7-9 team competing in the Division 2 Secondary Hockey competition, on a Friday afternoon at Tasmanian Hockey Centre.  It’s been great to see some new and returning players to hockey participating in this team, alongside more experienced players.  In the opening game, the team improved throughout the game, as they became familiar with each other and grew in confidence.  They were eventually defeated by Fahan 0-4, but are looking forward to the next game against Taroona this Friday.   Good luck to the team in their remaining matches.

Please note some sports are externally run, so are therefore still subject to confirmation from those associations.  More information will be provided via EdSmart correspondence in the coming weeks.
