As well as teaching singing and trumpet, Sabine assists in the Secondary School Class Music program and with the College Orchestra.

Emily Rieper - Clarinet and Saxophone

Emily graduated from the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music in 2017 with a Bachelor of Music, majoring in classical clarinet. Emily, a clarinetist and saxophonist, currently teaches clarinet at Claremont College and Elizabeth College and both clarinet and saxophone at Mount Carmel College.

Emily is a dedicated teacher, keen to pass on her enthusiasm for the woodwind instruments. She conducts two Secondary school instrumental ensembles at Mount Carmel College: Intro Orchestra and the Windy Women.

When she isn't working as an instrumental teacher, Emily enjoys working behind the scenes for stage performances, managing music events, as well as providing front of house support at the Conservatorium of Music. One of Emily’s most rewarding experiences was her role as the Orchestral Manager for the Australian Doctors Orchestra visit to Hobart in September 2019, an orchestra of over 100 musicians.

Musically, Emily enjoys performing in wind bands, orchestras, chamber music, stage bands and choirs. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, listening to music, and performing with her amateur theatre group, The Derwent Valley Players.
