LEGO Brick Build and Give

The Primary Mission Sisters are asking students and families to donate any LEGO or DUPLO bricks and figures that they no longer use. The bricks don’t have to be a complete set or even from the same set, as long as they are LEGO or DUPLO brand bricks.

There is also no need to bring in any instructions – one of the best things about LEGO, no matter what set they are from, you can use your imagination and bring the bricks to life without instructions.

The bricks and figures can be brought to school and dropped off into the bins located in the College Office or the College Library by the end of Term Three.

From all the LEGO and DUPLO bricks and figures donated, the Primary Mission Sisters will create packs of assorted bricks that will then be donated to the Hobart Womens Shelter and the Migrant Resource Centre for them to put into the hands of children to own and enjoy building new creations.

Lunch on the Lawn

On Friday 28 August, Environment Leaders Mietta Burton and Taylah Stewart are hosting Lunch on the Lawn.

Primary students are encouraged to bring their lunch to school waste-free and enjoy it on the lawn where bean bags and picnic rugs will be provided.

At the end of the day, the waste disposed of by each class will be weighed and the class with the least amount of rubbish will win a special prize.

Online Demonstrations

The Tasmanian Catholic Schools Parents Council (TCSPC) is pleased to offer all parents, carers, principals and teachers the opportunity to hear first hand about the ‘NAPLAN’ and ‘MY SCHOOL’ websites, including live on line demonstrations and explanations on how to use many of the functions on each website.
