New Instrumental Music Enrolments
A record number of students have signed up to learn a musical instrument this year. Most of the beginners are Year 7s but we also have a good number of older students who are new to the school. Students have been enjoying their first lessons and will start rehearsing in their ensembles after the long weekend.
Instrumental Music levies for all new students are now on Compass and we ask that these are paid as soon as possible please. If you are not seeing a charge for Instrumental Music and you haven’t paid yet, please make sure that you are logged into Compass using a Parent username.
A reminder also that students who learn outside of school and participate in one of our ensembles will see an Ensemble Levy of $120 for bands and strings, or $40 for vocal groups. If you learn an instrument at school, you do not need to pay the Ensemble Levy. Ensembles Levies will be put on Compass over the next few weeks after Instrumental Music tuition levies are paid.
Coming Up
The Music staff are looking forward to a HUGE year of performances with so many students. Some of our groups have already performed at Music Information Night, and the next event is the school’s Open Night on Thursday 16 March. Symphonic Band and Chamber Strings will be running open rehearsals in the Performing Arts Centre between 4:30-7:15pm.

Sponsor a Seat in the PAC

With your gift of $300 (Premium Seat in the front section of the theatre) or $250 (General Seating) each, you can play your part in continuing to upgrade and create a state-of-the-art facility for use by our students, as well as the wider community.
