The Rite Journey

Jesus called people saying, “follow me,” and they did. And their lives were forever changed. God is still calling young people to follow him into lives beyond themselves. Lives full of meaningful work, full of love and service, full of maturity and wisdom and grace. This is what we celebrate and focus on in The Rite Journey program for all Year 9 students.

In Week 5, the Calling and Departure ceremonies and the Challenge Day launched our Year 9s into an exciting year ahead in The Rite Journey. The Calling Ceremony opens a space for parents and children to look back and see God’s hand in their particular childhood journey. It was so moving to see parents and children drawing close and reliving precious memories together.

The Departure Ceremony and Challenge Day invite students to step out and put childish ways behind them as they take up the wonderful challenges of growing into mature women and men with a focus beyond themselves.

It was a lot of fun to see the personal overcoming, bravery and teamwork as students supported each other through the rigors of a difficult series of obstacles, nursing water balloons and sometimes blindfolded. We Rite Journey teachers look forward to the year ahead with this inspiring group of Year 9s!

Middle School Clubs and Extra Curricular

We encourage students to participate in clubs and activities outside of the classroom. These extra-curricular activities allow students opportunities to further develop their skills, confidence and relationships.
