Apa kabar?
That means “How are you?” in Indonesian. It’s a really fun phrase to use because you get to practise rolling your rrrrrrs. Here’s a short video showing you how to do it.
Foundation students have just started learning to answer “Apa kabar”; the simplest answer is to say “Baik!”, which means “good” - it’s easy to remember because we all feel good when we’re riding a bike and “baik” sounds like “bike” if you say it with a slightly posh accent.
Ask your resident MPS student if you would like to learn some different answers to “Apa kabar?”
Sampai jumpa!
