We're half way through term 1 and would like to remind you about our Recycling Station near the front office.  If you haven't had the chance to check it out, you may like to take a look and drop off any items to be recycled. The following items are ones that our school community can add to during the term:

Batteries (excluding button batteries)

Printer Cartridges

Mobile Phones

Small Electronic parts - no lightbulbs or LED lightbulbs

Masks

Bread Tags

Dental Care items - cut open, washed and clean

Used pens

Second Hand School Uniforms

Remember to use the online Sustainable School Shop to purchase any second hand uniforms. Most of the items listed by families are free or for a small fee.  https://www.sustainableschoolshop.com.au/

Recycling drink packaging.

Do you know how to recycle drink packaging? Learn more here: https://drinkfacts.com.au/recycling/?fbclid=IwAR18eTsH3j0oEO5_ZBQzmdRypXaziHDQaPohTmJU_E-ZXGNv11KxJMvEiyU

Reuse and reduce landfill

Do you have any items you no longer need and too good to add to landfill? Try posting on your local social media groups to give your goods another life. Here are some you may like to consider before adding to landfill:

Boroondara Hard Rubbish Rehome

Buy Nothing Project

Zero Waste Freebies (Victoria)

You may also find items that you can take off someone else's hands and reuse yourself before buying brand new.
