Harmony Day

Harmony Day will be held on Friday the 24th of March. We celebrate Harmony Day to promote diversity and acceptance of other cultures. Harmony Day aims to start a conversation about heritage, culture, and community. The idea ‘Everyone Belongs’ is the essence of Harmony Day. It is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background.

The students are encouraged to dress up in their cultural clothing (please ensure the clothing is appropriate for school eg.no open toed shoes or slip on shoes) or wear the colour orange on Friday the 24th of March. Students can bring their own cultural lunch to eat on the day. Please ensure students bring and eat their own food on the day (no sharing of food).

Please note that this is NOT a gold coin donation. It is a day to celebrate the many cultures we have at Deer Park West Primary School

**Year 6 students are to wear their school uniform while playing Interschool Sports in the morning and can then change once they arrive back to school.
