HARMONY DAY

On Tuesday March 21st SJV celebrated Harmony Day.

We are blessed at SJV  to have over 40 different nationalities at our school. To celebrate our diversity the students completed a number of activities throughout the day. These included indigenous literacy activities, math games from round the world, Bollywood dancing, Greek dancing, geographical research on the country of origin and fun outdoor games during lunchtime run by our grade 6 House Captains.

At recess we held a whole school parade.

Our Specialists also helped to celebrate Harmony Day with a focus on art, sport and stories from other countries or  diversity. 

The day ended with a beautiful liturgy presented by our grade 6 captains and ended with some tradtional Greek dancing- The Zorba.
