CONTINUITY OF LEARNING
As we move through Week 3 of Term 2, we can all (staff, students and parents) sit back and reflect on what has been one of the most unexpected and speediest transitions to a new way of teaching and learning. Who knew, at the start of 2020, that we would be Zooming and Canvasing like professionals less than half-way through the year.
As a staff, we had set a goal of implementing Canvas as our Learning Management Platform, with a ‘soft’ start in 2020 and consolidating by end of 2021. Some amongst us had not ever heard of Zoom. Needless to say, we are now having to set new goals!
It is an absolute credit to our staff, students and parents for the relative (there will always be some teething issues) ease in which we have transitioned to remote learning. Thank you for the positivity and commitment displayed by all. The school feels empty without the students, and whilst this may have been a sometime ‘dream’ of teachers, rest assured we all eagerly wait for the day when we gather as a full community once again.
SUBJECT SELECTIONS FOR 2021
Just a heads up that Subject Selections for 2021 will be going ahead as per usual during Term 3. Further information will be provided closer to the time, ensuring that all students are aware of the process.
Stay safe, healthy and physically distanced but socially connected…
