Writer's Notebook - ANZAC Reflections

Last week, the 4/5/6 students reflected on the significance of Anzac Day and the one minute of silence. Students completed a Writer's Notebook task reflecting on the sacrifice that thousands of soldiers, nurses and animals have made throughout WWI, WWII and many other battles across the world. Students designed and created their own page with a focus on the events that can take place in war during one minute.

Literacy

Last week students completed a phoneme investigation for the phoneme /igh/ as in light.

Students searched for the phoneme from a range of sources, recording the graphemes on their whiteboards.

Students did a fantastic job and we loved seeing the photographs of their work on the Padlet.

Keep up the great work 3/4 you are doing an amazing job.

Art

This week for Art students ventured outside (or around the house - due to the weather) to find some natural materials for their artwork. Their design brief was to create a piece of artwork using objects found in the backyard or at home. What incredible imaginations the Senior students have! Here is a small collection of wonderful creations from the Senior students.
