Soiree 2021

Thank you for your continued support of Co-curricular Music at Marist throughout the year. We have been pleased to host a variety of concerts and events so far and are delighted to confirm that Soiree will go ahead as per the College Calendar on Friday 10th September (Week 9, Term 3). This event is the culmination of the 2021 Concert Season and also a farewell event for our graduating seniors.

In order to host this event under current COVID-19 regulations, the event will be ticketed only (no walk-ins) with strict booking limits per family (not student) in order to allow all families an opportunity to see their son(s) perform. Booking links will be included in the concert letter which has been emailed directly to families of performing students.

The Blue Suits

Congratulations to Year 11 Jazz Quartet “The Blue Suits” who are to be commended on their performance at the Brisbane Jazz Club last Thursday night 26 August. The four Year 11 students; Jeremy Vanderbyl, Thomas Horton, Samuel Patterson and Rohan Sweeney have initiated this self-directed ensemble throughout the year, preparing a variety of repertoire. The group received a rousing reception from the full capacity audience and even received an encore. The boys followed up the next night, performing at the Year 11 Friday night Parent Function to another very appreciative crowd, well done boys!
