We have had lots of fun working collaboratively and completing STEM activities related to the Olympics, such as designing an Olympic mascot, decorating an Olympic medal and creating a new Olympic sport. We love being able to fill in our medal tally for the Australian and Japanese teams throughout each day.
3/4 White have been busy this week making paper cranes! They have been reading "Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes" for their literacy unit. In Japan, legend says that anyone who folds one thousand paper cranes is granted happiness and eternal good luck, such as long life, or recovery from illness or injury.
Each week the students rotate around 8 different group activities including Guided Reading and Writing, Spelling, Grammar, Craft, Fitness, Maths and computer work.
The class enjoys the various learning activities with the support of their small group – such an engaging way to learn!
