Reflections on Faith

From the desk of the Religious Education Coordinator - Miss McMeniman

With lockdown restrictions easing for holiday time, it is the perfect opportunity to spend time with family and friends who we have been apart over the last month, or even longer depending on locations. I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday and we are able to resume school in full in term 4.

With the easing of restrictions, Confirmation and First Holy Communion candidates have received communication from Father Gleeson! It is anticipated that students will receive these sacraments in Term 4. Families are asked to contact Father Gleeson to negotiate dates and times for the receival of these sacraments.

Below are some Blessings written by Stage 3 students throughout remote learning.

God, please help those who are lonely because of COVID, bless those who have COVID and help them and their families to cope. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Thank You God
For the life that you've given. For the prayers you answered. For the opportunities you’ve given
Thank you God
For the protection you’ve promised. For the night and days. For the peace you’ve promised
Thank You God
For who I am. For my dreams. For who I’m becoming
Thank You God
For this moment. For this chance. For this life you’ve given me

May God bless Australia  and all the people in it. May he bless the people who are sick and those in need. May he bless Tasmania, Victoria, New South Wales, ACT, Northern Territory, Western Australia, South Australia and Queensland. Bless our traditional owners, sites and landmarks. May God bless our native creatures of Australia and keep all our animals safe.

Dear God
I would like to thank you for my family, friends and teachers for supporting me and others through this rough time. God you have created real angels throughout this world and make sure they get their time to shine!

Bless Australia.
Bless Australia for all its beautiful animals and people who live in it and call it home. Bless the landscape and our beautiful tourist attractions bringing in more and more people. Bless the culture of the stolen generation and their elders past and present and emerging. Bless Australia
