Religious Education and Life at St Anne's and in the Parish of OLMC.

Sacrament of First Eucharist

For those Eucharist Families who have missed out on celebrating Eucharist for a second time due to restrictions, at this point in time we have booked Saturday 9th October 5:30pm and Sunday 10th October 10:30am.

To help with the smooth transition into this new date, rather than re-booking, instead those who were celebrating on the Saturday or Sunday celebration will maintain the day and time that they originally booked for with the same attendees.

Sacrament of Confirmation

Registration for Confirmation

Registration and Information for the Sacrament of Confirmation Packs were sent via Operoo on Tuesday 24th August.

(It is also accessible with this link)

Unfortunately due to the extension of lockdown the Registration and Information Sessions for Confirmation that was to be on Tuesday 24th & Wednesday 25th August was cancelled.

Instead, as a school and Parish on Tuesday 24th August we sent out Information and Registration Packs for Confirmation via Operoo. We ask that you read through the information packs to refamiliarise yourselves with the Sacrament of Confirmation and follow this Try Booking link in order to register your child for  the Sacrament (bookings close Friday 10th September). This registration also books you and your child in for the Parenting in Faith Sessions which hope to be able to run on Monday 18th October, 7pm at St Anne’s Church.

We ask for your patience and understanding around this program and the dates as changes may need to take place depending on the restrictions from the Government and the directions from Archdiocese of Melbourne.

Sexuality education begins at home and at St Anne’s we are committed to supporting families in maximising children’s health and well being. The Sexuality Parent and Child Session is sensitive to and respectful of the values and beliefs of parents/carers and families and provides an excellent opportunity for family discussion about human sexuality and respectful relationships.

The 1 hour presentation to primary years 5 and 6 families includes the following content:

  • Puberty
  • Hormones, General physical changes, Emotional & social changes,
  • Changes specific to male & female bodies,
  • Reproduction

The ZOOM link will be sent home to Year 5 & 6 Families in advance via Operoo on Thursday 2nd September . We are hoping to record the session and send it out to families who might be unable to get to the Zoom meeting.
