Student Voice

Friday Lunch Time Sport

Article by Luke Lasevicius, House Caption Eliot

Recently the student leadership crew, more specifically the House Captains, have started to run a Friday lunchtime sports program with the help of teacher house leaders.

The sporting program is designed to encourage student participation and to maximize the competitiveness of each student, but it is also an opportunity to have as much fun as you possibly can. The program also wishes to build a sense of community within the College.

During these weeks, the sporting events will be on a rotation cycle, commencing with basketball and netball and then we will be moving onto the oval to enjoy some soccer and volleyball. Students are encouraged to come to watch the sports and cheer on their fellow students during the games.

Keep an eye out on SEQTA as notices for where and when the sporting events will take place will be posted there.

School Improvement - Student Survey

To assist the College in planning for our future, it was important to hear the student voice as part of this process. Therefore, we surveyed the secondary students, asking:

  1. What are we doing well?
  2. What are areas for improvement or growth?

The student data analysis from these two questions is summarised below:
