Soup for the Soul

On Wednesday, 11 August, the Staff Wellbeing Team and Food Technologies teamed up to do a combined outreach for the community.   Our wonderful Year 11 and12 students made some tasty soup and garlic bread that they served to the staff for lunch.

Some of our Year 12 students also volunteered at The King’s Community Care and served soup to families in need.

iWoman Project

Mrs Leanne Panting, Head of Years 9 and 10

Two students from our school have been participating in the iWomen Project. This endorsed program over four weeks is designed to spark interest, targeted towards students who have a potential future career in the Industries area. This program includes visits to a range of industries in the KIA (Kwinana Industries Area) for site tours and to meet current employees in a range of roles, and participation in a series of workshops including resume writing, mock interviews, social media, health and wellbeing, personal and career development and presentation skills.

Madison Tamminga and Grace Bedwell are currently in week two of the program and have found it to be an amazing journey so far. We wish the girls all the best for the remainder of the course and look forward to hearing from them about their experience on the Project.
