SA SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP SUCCESS

Joshua Barila competed successfully at the 2018 South Australian State Swimming Championships held in Adelaide from January 16 - 20. 

Joshua made a total of 12 finals, made 11 PB’s and also achieved two Vic Open State Qualifying Times along with three Vic Age State Qualifying Times. He received a Bronze medal in the 50m backstroke and broke many Mildura Swimming Club records in the process.

Congratulations to Nicholas Fasso-Opie for being awarded joint Young Citizen of the Year for Mildura - a very deserved recipient.  Congratulations must also go to Philip Opie who was nominated for Mildura Citizen of the Year.  Read more....

SA COUNTRY SWIMMERS

The 2018 South Australian Country Swimming Championships were held over four days in Broken Hill from January 5-8 2018.

Joshua Barila finished with the most male individual points for the meet with 145 points, getting four PB's and 18 medals.  Joshua was also awarded the 'Best Team Person Award' by Swimming SA.

Montana Mazza broke six of her PB's from seven races and also participated in two relays.

Cooper Nokes swam ten races getting two PB's and receiving a Gold and Bronze for the 18 and Under Free Relay and the 14 and Under Medley Relay.
