International Greek Language Day

The 9th of February has been declared as the International Greek Language Day, in hopes of sparking interest in the language worldwide.

It was a privilege for our school to be visited by Mr Dimitris Michalopoulos, the Consul, – General of Greece in Melbourne, Dr Georgia Nikolaidou, the Deputy Consul of Educational Affairs in Australia & New Zealand and Dr Stefie Nikoloudis from La Trobe University. Dr Stefie Nikoloudis delivered a short lecture at our school to our students presenting the significance of the Greek language and the Greek culture. This talk was possible thanks to the cooperation between the Education Office of Melbourne and Latrobe University.
