Absences, Late Arrival & Early Departure

Absences MUST be reported via Compass on the day of absence (early in the morning or ahead of time where possible).

Students arriving to school after 9.00am or leaving during school hours MUST be signed in/out by a parent/guardian via the Office. Students are required to present a yellow 'Late Pass' to their teacher.

Please use Compass to let us know if your child will be arriving late (this does NOT replace the requirement to sign your child in via the Office). If you do not enter an approval note advising us that your child will be late and your child arrives at school after 10.30am, you will receive an 'Attendance Notification: Student Unaccounted For' email.

Volunteers/Visitors

If you are visiting the school for ANY reason between 9.00am and 3.30pm (with the exception of usual school pick-up/drop off), you must report your arrival and departure via the Office for Emergency Management purposes.

This includes when your are volunteering in the classroom, at a school event, or attending a meeting.

Volunteers - Orange Card

In order to improve our OH & S compliance and to ensure that our school community members are informed, we have implemented best practice induction procedure for all volunteers.  You will already know that we require our volunteers provide us with a copy of their WWC card. Apply online at: http://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/ 

The induction will be undertaken annually, and involves

1) Reading our OH & S Induction Booklet, and Child Safe Standard Volunteer Code of Conduct

2) Completing a form and providing copy or WWC Card Allow 5-10 minutes to complete the induction process.

All volunteers, including classroom helpers, parents attending excursions, or those helping with sport will need to ensure that they have read the documents, and completed the relevant forms. On completion of induction, volunteers will be given an ORANGE Volunteer Card, which should be shown to office staff on request, and when signing in to the school.  The card is valid for the remainder of the 2019 school year.

Online Payment for Excursions and other School Activities

Notification of excursions and incursions requiring online consent/payment are posted to the Compass News Feed. If consent/payment for incursions and excursions is not received by the due date via the appropriate Compass online consent form, your child will be unable to participate/attend.
