2019 Academy Semester 2

Semester 2 is looking to be a busy time in our Academies.  We have Wakakirri and 4C's Performances to look forward to. Students are working hard to perfect their routines to make both shows memorable ones!  Cast T-Shirts can still be purchased up until Thursday 25th 3:00pm, don't miss out!

We also received some great news from the Sporting Schools Grant Program and students in Netball, Basketball and Soccer Academies will be benefiting from this grant as we move into Term 3.  We will be working closely with a number of sporting organisations to ensure our students are learning new skills whilst being coached by Professional Athletes!

We'll have lots more to share with you as we progress over the coming weeks.

Sporting Academies

On the last Monday of Term 2, a select bunch of Year 9 Rugby Academy students completed their practical refereeing assessment by performing roles of referee and touch judge at the Jesse Bromwich Cup – a primary school rugby event run by the NRL. These students are now qualified to referee junior rugby matches and earn income at weekends. Well done guys!

Performing Arts Academy

On the last day of Term 2, some of our Wakakirri students performed at Cranbourne Home to welcome delegates attending a Centre Management Conference hosted by Cranbourne Home.  Great work everyone involved, the audience was captivated!
