Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is a time to reflect and appreciate how much our mothers and all the other special woman in our lives really do for us. People have all different plans like breakfast, presents and even a fun day out but the most important thing is to make sure your Mother is having the best day possible.

“Jackson what are you doing for Mother’s Day?” we all asked.

“We are making bacon and eggs for our Mum and we are also surprising mum with heaps of presents,” Jackson answered.

“What about you Indy, what are you doing for mother’s day?”

“Well we aren’t doing much, but I will definitely make a big breakfast with my sisters. I think she will be really happy.”

What is Mother’s Day about?

Mother's Day is a celebration honoring all mothers around the globe. In Australia, it falls on the 9th of May 2021. It’s traditionally celebrated on the second Sunday in May and was first celebrated in Australia in 1910. On Mother’s Day, everyone gives a gift to their mum to thank them for everything that they have done for us.

Mother’s day advent

On Friday 7th May, our school held a Mother’s Day stall in the Multipurpose Room. There was an area that included little packages that the students could buy for $4 each and there were also raffle tickets on sale. A lovely Mother’s Day morning tea was held in the Library Courtyard. We hope everyone had a lovely Mother's Day yesterday.
