YEAR 1 TINY TOWNS

As part of our integrated studies unit, ‘Our Community’, Year 1 students researched, planned and designed a community building / landmark to create a class Tiny Town.

On Wednesday morning, the Year 1 classrooms invited families to view their Tiny Towns. It was wonderful to see so many visitors enjoying our creations.

Seems like we have lots of budding architects, engineers, builders and designers in the making.

Well done to all our Year 1 students for all your fantastic work.

From your Year 1 teachers.

Year 5 Big Bike Ride -29/4/21

On Thursday, 29th of April, all the Year 5’s went in 2 groups on a bike ride.

We went past Ford Park and journeyed along Darebin Creek Bike Trail. We circled back to school and the whole bike ride (for both groups) took roughly around 1hr 15min to do a total of 7kms (from school and back).

The group remaining at school had a lesson on geography with Ms. Millar.

A big thank you to Ms. Romeo, Ms. Knowles, Mr. Bull and all the parents who came along.

Acknowledgement of Country

On Monday mornings we begin the week with a whole school assembly.  Recently the Acknowledgement of Country has been delivered by our Year 5 students in Ms Millar's class. The students speak a phrase and the student body repeats. Over time, all IPS students will come to know the acknowledgement and understand its meaning.

The following students will be opening our assembly over the remainder of Term 2.
