Nude food

Nude food goes digital in Term 2

Dear IPS Community,

It is exciting to announce that the Nude Food program is active in all IPS classrooms.

The program is aimed at raising awareness of potentially-harmful packaging of daily food and suggesting greener alternatives, ultimately promoting a more sustainable outcome for our environment: an imperative for our students. In 2021, the program is being run entirely by our student Environmental Leaders and is going completely ‘digital’ in order to minimise waste.

Each week, the class with the most cases of Nude Food will be awarded the coveted ‘Trash Trophy’ to take pride of place in their classroom.

The class who tally the most cases of Nude Food over the entire term, will be rewarded with a session of active play on either the oval or in the sports hall (at a time of their teacher’s discretion).

This is a chance for the students to actively enjoy the beautiful environment around them which they’re sustaining.

Please take a minute to read over the link with your child/children, which defines 'nude food' and gives suggestions for easily becoming a 'nude food' family.

Thanks for your support of this school-wide initiative.
