Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

On Monday afternoon, teachers and students gathered to commemorate ANZAC Day.  A national day of remembrance in both Australia and New Zealand that commemorates all service men and women "who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations" and "the contribution and suffering of all those who have served." This includes soldiers, nurses, animals and also the families who have been affected by war.

On the fields of South Africa, throughout Europe, on the beaches of Gallipoli and the deserts of Africa, in the jungles of the Pacific, in Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf, Timor, Iraq and troubled countries throughout the world, the men and women of our armed services gave, and still give, of themselves to protect our country and to strive for world peace.

Today we enjoy the freedom won for us by the ANZACs.

As a school community, we continue to remember their sacrifice and pray that the gift of peace given to us by these brave people will be treasured and protected for generations to come.

Thank you to Mrs Smith for organising this liturgy and to all teachers and students who led us in prayer.

Prayer for Peace
God of peace, may we become peacemakers by feeding the hungry, welcoming the stranger, planting kindness and nurturing peace wherever we are.
God of justice, may we become justice makers by sharing goodwill, upholding the rights of all people, sharing our gifts and nurturing justice wherever we are.
We pray for these things with humility, because of the hope within us and because of our faith in the ultimate triumph of peace.
We pray because of our love for Creation and because of our trust in a loving God. Above all we pray for an end to violence and for peace throughout the world,
We ask this prayer in Jesus’ name.
Amen

Kindergarten Enrolments 2022

Thank you to all that have submitted a Kindergarten Enrolment for 2022.  Kindergarten interviews will take place on Saturday 22 May.  Information on how to book your child's Kindergarten Interviews will be forwarded tomorrow (Thursday 29 April) and will open on Friday 30 April.

Enrolments are still open and are available from the school office or through our school website

Winter School Uniform

Students will begin wearing the winter uniform from Monday 10 May (after Mother's Day).  Parents may use discretion in the 2 weeks prior or following the summer to winter change over date should the weather be too cold or too hot.

Please note that the sports jacket should only be worn with the sports uniform except for exceptionally cold days when it may be worn over the sloppy-joe.

The expectations for the school uniform are outlined in the School Handbook. You may also visit Lowes Schools Online.

Thank you to those parents who have made sure that their children have returned to school with appropriate haircuts. Please note our policy from the School Handbook below:

Students are required to wear their hair in a neat and tidy manner.

  • Haircuts should be of an even grade.

  • Hair will not be in such a condition as to invite comment.
  • Long hair is to be tied back or plaited, off the face and should not extend to cover the eyes.
