Hitting the ground running is 2020

We are looking forward to another exciting year of Sport at Northcote High School. Summer sports are kicking off in Week 3 so it's a busy start to the year. The first of our summer sports is cricket. Because cricket is so early in the term we are having sign up in Week 2. Please see below, the times and days for each Year level. If the sign up sessions do not appear on your Compass, please go along the sign up session on the day applicable to you. If you miss the sign up, please make yourself known to Mr Jack O’Shea or Pauline Dridan, both are located in the PE office.

Cricket Sign Up :

Yr 8 – Monday 3  February in the GYM @ lunchtime

Yr 7 – Tuesday 4 February in the GMR @ recess

Yr 11 /12 - Thursday 6 February in GMR @ recess

Yr 9/10 – Friday 7 February in GMR @ lunchime

Term 1 Sports Sign Ups

This year, at the beginning of each term we will be holding whole year level sign ups for the sports for that term.  This term the sports are Cricket, Tennis, Volleyball, Baseball and Swimming. As mentioned above Cricket is very early in the Term so we are having a separate Sign Up for Cricket in week 2.  Please refer to the information below for the rest of the Term 1 sign up days. 

Term 1 Sports Sign Up – Tennis, Volleyball, Baseball, Swimming  - this will appear on your Compass Schedule, we will make a reminder announcement and place on the TV Screens Newsfeed.

Yr 11/12 – Tuesday 11 February in the GMR @ lunchtime

Yr 9/10 – Wednesday 12 February in the GMR @ lunchtime

Yr 8 – Thursday 13 February in the GMR @ lunchtime

Yr 7 – Friday 14 February in the GMR @ lunchtime

Premier League soccer

For the second year in a row, NHS has been invited to enter a Girls Soccer team in the Premier League competition. This is a fantastic opportunity that is open to Girls from Yrs 9-12.  We will be having an information session and sign up for all interested players in the GMR @ recess on Wednesday 5  February. The session has been placed on Compass for players who played soccer last year from Yrs 8-12 and also the players who played in the Premier League competition last year. If this session doesn’t appear on your Compass but you are interested, please come along to the GMR on Wednesday.  After the initial sign up, Mr Wilkins will be running tryouts and training sessions in the lead up to the Competition.
