Deputy Principal's Update

"Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony."

Dear Parents,

I was fortunate to be able to attend the Summer Lightning Premiership last Friday with the Ultimate Frisbee team.  The weather was fantastic and so were the efforts of all the 5/6 students across the teams representing our school.

For most of our Year 5/6 students it was their first experience of attending such an event. Many of the students were nervous beforehand, which is a good thing - how often do we forget what it can be like the first time we do something?

Through such activities we get to experience winning, losing, hope, triumph and disappointment.  Sport often teaches us important qualities such as resilience, persistence, team work and getting along.

Students all reported back on how much they enjoyed the day - a big thank you to Mr. Koole and all of the 5/6 teachers for their organisation and practice leading up to the day.

It was also wonderful to have many parents acting as coaches and scorers, we value your help and involvement - thank you!

Today we celebrated the end of our first term with a wonderful year 2F assembly, celebrating all of the learning that has gone on this term.

As usual we have had our HUGE Easter raffle.  You have contributed so much to make this a highlight for our community leading up to Easter.

I hope our students and families (and our wonderful staff!) have a great break and come back working even harder in Term 2.

Enjoy and go Pies!
