Student Attitudes to School survey

We value student voice as a means to improving student engagement, wellbeing, and quality instruction, and are conducting a survey to find out what your child thinks of our school. The Student Attitudes to School survey is an annual student survey conducted by the Department of Education and Training to assist our school to gain an understanding of students' perceptions and experience of school.

Students will be asked about their thoughts and feelings in relation to their school, their learning, peer relationships, bullying, and life in general. Students from Year 7-12 at our school will participate in the survey this week and next week. Your child will complete the survey online during school hours using a purpose built secure online survey tool.  All responses to the survey are kept anonymous and are completed during your child's class time. The survey results will be reported back to the school in an aggregate form and will be shared with students and families later in the year. Most importantly, this data helps us better understand our strengths and areas for growth to ensure we can continue to support our students and greater community to feel connected, protected and respected.

Year Level Assemblies

Year level assemblies were held on the 27 April 2021, for all students at the College. It was wonderful to be able to come together as year level groups – a very different experience to this time last year. All year levels displayed high levels of respect for each other and staff during the assemblies, a testament to the values of our school community. There were student performances and each level had a different theme or focus that they were exploring with their students.

Assemblies provide us with an opportunity to celebrate our successes as a school, deliver key messages to each year level and also grow connections with students. They continue to be a vital part of our College calendar.

IDAHOBIT Day – May 17

The International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) is held every year on May 17. At our school we celebrate sexual and gender diversity and make a public stand against LGBTQIA+ discrimination. We support and stand by all students and staff, regardless of their gender identity and sexual orientation. Teaching respect and diversity are core values of our school and we actively encourage our students to call out all forms of discrimination to ensure our school provides a safe and supportive teaching and learning environment for all students and staff.
