Keiko Fukumitsu and her team of calligraphers

In August 2019 we had the pleasure of welcoming Keiko Fukumitsu and her team of calligraphers from Osaka, Japan to our school for a full day of engaging workshops for students studying Japanese in years 7 to 10.

Keiko and her team were due to visit the college again in 2020 to continue sharing their passion for calligraphy however, this was unfortunately not possible. In a heartfelt email and booklet showcasing their school visits across Melbourne, Keiko spoke of the warmth that all staff and students of St Albans Secondary College showed her and her team, the unforgettable memories they made and her desire to visit our school again in the future.

We too, had many wonderful experiences thanks to Keiko and her team and sincerely wish them well during these difficult times. We look forward to welcoming them back to the college in the near future.
