Farewell Mia

This week Mia Sartori shared with me that she was ready to move on from Croydon Hills Primary School.

Mia has been the most wonderful support for students, families and staff since she began her role as Student Wellbeing Officer in 2016.  Mia’s service was interrupted in 2019 – 2020 when she took extended personal leave to recover from a double lung transplant.

Over the past week I have had moments where I have been able to share with Mia our school’s admiration and appreciation of her and her work.  A highlight for mine has been her Peaceful Kids (and Peaceful Parents) programs and workshops. Yesterday when Mia popped in I was able to reiterate our acknowledgement of her contributions to our community and, on behalf of the community, wish her well.

Harmony Day and Ride to School Day

Last Friday the school was a sea of orange and jam-packed full of wheels as the school celebrated Harmony Day and Ride to School Day.

Thank you to the Positive Education team, PE teachers and staff who contributed to the success of the day.

Congratulations Tamara and Andrew!

Congratulations to teacher Tamara Cooke and husband Andrew on the birth of their daughter, Quinn Audrey Elizabeth Cooke who was born on 17th March, nine days overdue!  Quinn, 4.15kg, is being doted over by big brother Billy who is SO in love with his sister "Kin" and keeps reminding Tamara and Andrew that Mummy brought her home from the shops!

Annual Report to the School Community

The Annual Report to the School Community provides an opportunity for principals and school councils to share the school's successes, activities and achievements throughout the year. It details the school’s financial activities, workforce composition and performance. Last Wednesday at School Council it was presentation to and ratified by School Council.

Bacon & Egg BBQ and Coffee next Thursday (No Coffee Van tomorrow)

Next Thursday morning, 8:00 – 9:15am, the Principal Team will be cooking bacon and egg rolls for the school community!  They’ll be $4 each but get in quick as there will be a limit of 200 serves.

Whilst Theo our coffee van man will be in attendance next Thursday, he will not be at school tomorrow.
