Year 8 Food Technology

Over the last two weeks the Year 8 students in Food Technology have been working on the Design Process and using their prior knowledge of nutrition to design a healthy breakfast. Using a brief with restrictions, they researched alternative recipes and made food orders, production plans and criteria for evaluation questions that were to be answered on completion. Here are some pictures of the great results.

Music Appreciation - Open Night

It was a very good experience for our musicians to present foyer performances at our Open Night on Wednesday 28th April. As with so many of our College students, there was a great deal of enthusiasm and joy with the opportunity to showcase our wonderful school to a very appreciative audience. A big thank you is expressed to our musicians – Tvisha Amin, Sethumdi Dasanayake, Richard Shao, Cedar Chin, Elizabeth Waters, Oisin O’Riley, Eric Tran and Ryan Szymkowiak.

Year 10 Multimedia Incursion

Year 10 Multimedia students recently had a guest speaker Saahil Luthra, a film producer.

After completing VCE at Glen Eira College in 2009, Saahil went to study at Victoria University where he received a Bachelor of Multimedia. In 2013, he set up his Dhoom Film company and has produced several films and advertisements.

One of his achievements is being the producer of the film Somewhere over that rainbow, which won four awards at The Nice International Film Maker Festival of World Cinema in 2017. Saahil himself won two awards, the Best Film and Best Editing of a Feature Film.

Year 10 Multimedia students have gained tremendous experience in film making and we would like to express our appreciation to Saahil for sharing his expertise with our students.
