Olivia has been such a warm and welcoming personality in the classroom this year. Her personality shone especially brightly, showing determination and a positive attitude when learning about skip counting and groups with 'more' or 'less'. Keep up the great work Olivia!

Well done Lily for showing great creativity when coming up with wow words for our VCOP wall. Lily used words like 'lonely' and 'dizzy' to describe how the character was feeling in the story 'The Smallest Turtle'.

Well done Aaron for your fantastic effort this week. Aaron worked really hard in his writing and wrote some fantastic true facts in full sentences. He also has shared some wonderful ideas in class discussions. Good job Aaron!

During reading this week, Thomas used his knowledge of text features such as table of contents, sub-titles and labels to understand the structure of the text. He has been applying himself across all learning areas. Keep up the great work Thomas!

Well done Sidd for your excellent work in our 'Stimulating Science' Inquiry session this week. Sidd made predictions and then carried out an experiment to test his predictions. He recorded detailed observations that included labelled diagrams. Congratulations on a great start to Term 2!

Kate consistently demonstrates characteristics of an active reader. She was able to make good connections with the book ‘Bound for the Colonies’ and articulate how her thinking had changed during and after reading this book.

Lucy, you are a caring student who always shows such maturity in everything you do. You have an intuitive understanding of other people and know exactly what others need, especially in times of crisis. Keep up the amazing work Lucy!

Kohshi's attitude in Japanese classes has been very enthusiastic to the extent that it also has a positive influence on his peers. He's always excited to both learn and share his knowledge of Japanese language with his classmates which makes him well-liked and a model student.

This week, Jessica has made noticeable improvements in Japanese classes and it was very encouraging to see her make a successful transition back into the school routine after the holidays. Keep up the great effort, Jessica!
