Subject selection around the corner

Well done to all the Year 9 students who completed their Morrisby interviews.  We are running interviews this week for students who missed out on the first interview sessions.  It is important to note that we only get one interview allocation per student, so students who do not attend their interview event are unlikely to get another opportunity. The feedback from students has been really positive – students are reporting that the interviews are informative and helpful.

As we head into the winter months, subject selection is just around the corner again.  This is a great time for students to start actively discussing their plans for 2022 and thinking about their choices.  Stay tuned for more information on how you can be proactive in preparing yourself to make informed choices during the selection period.

Year 10 Work Experience

Applications for on-site work experience are closed. Students will be either attending a placement or completing a series of virtual work experience activities from home during the week 17-21 May.  A reminder to all students heading out on work experience that you are required to complete your Work Experience Journal on each day of your placement.  Teachers will be making calls to employers to check on student progress.  Students who are completing virtual work experience will also receive a ‘check in’ call from a member of staff.

If you cannot attend your placement on any of the days, you must inform both the employer and the school of your absence.
