IDAHOBIT Clothing Swap
City of Yarra are running a free library event in celebration of IDAHOBIT for young people aged 12-25 at Bargoonga Nganjin, North Fitzroy Library on St Georges Rd.
The event is a clothing swap held from 2-5 on Saturday the 15 May. They will also have preloved books available and friends from Queerspace will be there promoting their Queer youth group.
Creative writing competition
The Mental Health Foundation Australia are running a creative writing competition for young writers with a theme of "Post pandemic recovery challenges and resilience". Respond to the theme with a play, poem or story - it's up to you!
NCAT information evening
Northern College of Arts and Technology are running an information evening for prospective 2022 students on Tuesday 18 May at 6pm. This year it will be onsite with tours of the facilities. To register for sessions on Year 10, VCAL, VCE or Tertiary programs, check out the website.
Community event at Inflatable World Bundoora
To celebrate National Families Week from 15-21 May Reach Community Church are hosting a series of community events for the residents of Darebin. One event especially for High school age young people is a fun night at Inflatable World. The aim is to get young people connected to others in the local community, make new friendships and have a night of fun away from their devices. Bookings via Sticky Tickets.
Learn to be a swim instructor
Moreland Council are running accredited training to help young people become AUSTSWIM teachers of swimming and water safety. 22-23 May at Coburg Leisure Centre.
Come and try Girl Guides
Keen to get your teen outdoors and make community connections in a fun and engaging youth empowerment organisation? Bunyip Ranger Girl Guides in Reservoir are high school aged girls and are holding a come and try art night on Friday 18th June please rsvp to Kate: kate.ferguson@guidesvic.org.au and bring a friend!
