Precious Plastics update

Collaborating and experimenting in the shipping container

After completing our initial research into the use of plastics and their impact on the environment, we have been working on refining and improving our plastic sheet making process (aka…..RECYCLING). We have used a range of plastic types to see which one works best. 

As a class, we have been taking turns to collaborate and experiment in the precious plastics shipping container to create new plastic sheets that we will manipulate into design solutions. We are using digital design programs, such as ADOBE Illustrator and OnShape to create new designs that we can make from plastic on the laser cutter. Our plastic sheet production is continually improving, and we are getting great results. The class is now ready to create diverse plastic design solutions.  Watch this space!
