Water Catchment Incursion

Foundation and 1/2s

Last week our Foundation and 1/2 students were lucky enough to enjoy an incursion with Peter from the Darebin Creek Committee. Peter shared ‘The Catchment Story’ with us and taught us all about the amazing creatures that we can find in our local creeks. We also learnt about the things that people do that can cause damage to the creek and how to help keep our creeks healthy. Our favourite part was when we got to dress up and act out the scenes from the story.

This incursion linked in beautifully with our school value of Respect as well as the things that we have been learning about in our gardening sessions with Claire.’
