Assistant Principal News

The end of another wonderful term! Thankyou to all the parents, students and staff for a successful Term 2.

We ended our term with a fantastic NAIDOC Assembly this morning. In addition, Year 7-10 Reports have now been emailed to all parents.

I urge all parents to have a learning conversation with their child focussing on their progress in each subject, learning strengths and areas of improvement. Please remember that the grade on the student’s report reflects not only the student’s formal assessment task results, but also their demonstration of understanding and application of learning for all class tasks.

I encourage parents and students to take note of the commendations and recommendations at the bottom of the report, as these give the best indication of where a student is at in their learning journey for that particular subject.

Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences for 7-10 will be held in the College Hall during Week One of the Term on Thursday 25th July from 3:45pm - 7pm. To book an appointment please go to College website.

Some questions that parents can use to frame their discussion with teachers include the following:

What is my child learning?

How is she or he doing?

How do you know how she/he is doing?

How can she/improve?

What support can I provide and can you provide is he/she is struggling? When can we check in again?

Have a great and relaxing holiday!

Yours in learning,
