MATHS

FIRST WEEKS OF YEAR 7 MATHS

Understanding the timetable, meeting teachers and peers, and navigating around our school is only a fraction of what our new Year 7s have had to learn as they begin their journey into secondary school.

Thus far, across many Mathematics classes, teachers have observed how quickly students have adapted to their new learning environment, and their eagerness towards what lies ahead. Their willingness to offer a helping hand and share ideas was evident from the first lesson and we hope that this will continue.

The first week of Year 7 Maths was really great! You aren't pressured to do anything and it was really easy to get settled in.” Mia Chen  Year 7B

[In Maths this year]...we can simply just download the online code from our Maths books onto our chromebooks and access it from home if we have any homework. It's also a lot more challenging, but luckily there are experienced teachers who are very willing to help. Jethro Stein-Fooks Year 7B

These first weeks have been really fun and I am really hoping that the rest of the year will be the same. Ricky Chen Year 7C

I think that going to high school was a little bit nerve racking but once settled in it is fine. I used to hate Maths but I have started liking it recently.Anika Karra Year 7D

There are countless opportunities throughout the year in Mathematics, from many competitions, to the infamous and upcoming Pi reciting competition, as well as lunchtime classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays available to all students as a space to work and seek assistance when required. We look forward to a very successful year in Mathematics!
