Confirmation Reflection Day

On Wednesday 1st November, the Year 6 students attended a Confirmation Reflection Day at the Mary MacKillop Heritage Center and St. Patrick's Cathedral.  Students participated in a range of activities at the Mary MacKillop Heritage Center, learning about the life and sainthood of St. Mary MacKillop and consolidating their understanding about the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Students also attended a tour of St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Students completed tasks associated with different areas of the Cathedral and asked some fantastic questions about the different signs, symbols and rituals associated with Confirmation. Students were able to attend Parish Mass on the special feast day of All Saints Day. All Saints' Day is a solemn holy day of the Catholic Church celebrated annually on November 1. The day is dedicated to the saints of the Church, that is, all those who have attained heaven.

The day would not have been possible without the staff and volunteers who organised and attended the day; Mr. Coaley, Mrs Flindt-Petersen, Mrs. Ford, Mrs. Burns, Fr. Dean and Michelle (Stella's Mum). We thank you for sharing your time and wisdom. The day was only successful because of your contribution!

Galilee Day

On the 24th of November we will be celebrating Galilee's 24th birthday. As part of the day we are hoping to provide a hot lunch to all students. In order to do so, we need a merry team of parent helpers. If you are able to help out on the day in any capacity please contact Mrs Ford via e-mail @ bford@gsmelbournesth.catholic.edu.au Thank you in advance!
