Pick up everything, it's Clean Up Australia Day!

Please join us to help clean up Braeside Park.

This is a fantastic opportunity for your child to make a positive impact on their local environment and always proves to be a fun day out for the whole family. Every year we have had more and more Kingswood families come along on the day and it would be great to have even more people come along this year! Kingswood staff will be present at the event but parents will be responsible for their own child/ren and must stay with them at Braeside Park.

Where: Braeside Park Visitors Centre (near the playground), Lower Dandenong road, Dingley Village

When: 10am-12pm Sunday 4th March

What to bring: a hat, sunscreen, closed shoes and a water bottle (gloves, bin bags and morning tea will be provided)

Kingswood Weekly Green Team Class

Each week one class from Kingswood will be in charge of collecting all of the soft plastic rubbish from the school and delivering it to the Recycle bins at Woolworths Dingley where it can be recycled. Soft plastic rubbish includes items such as plastic bags, wrappers, packets, cling wrap and snap lock bags. The rubbish will be melted down and made into new things including park benches, bolards, playgrounds and more!

Last week, the Green Team class was 1H. The class enjoyed dressing up in special green costumes to collect all the soft plastic from each room in the school. On Friday, 1H walked to Woolworths to put the soft plastics in the Recycle bin and learn about what will happen to them. The next Green Team class will be Prep B.

Did you know: You can also recycle your soft plastic rubbish at home! Just collect the rubbish and take it any Woolworths or Coles store to put in the large Redcycle bin at the front of the store.
