School Information
Updates
We’d like to take this opportunity to update you on the following information:
Warrnambool Race Day Holiday
We have been informed of the decision to cancel the public holiday for the Warrnambool Races on the 7th of May. As such this will be a normal school day. This public holiday has been rescheduled to Melbourne Cup Day in November 2020.
Cancellation of events and refunds
Due to continued COVID-19 restrictions, we have decided to cancel the following activities for this year (they were previously postponed but now the decision has been to unfortunately cancel).
- Year 7 camp
- Year 8 camp
- Year 10 work experience,
The payments made by families for these activities will be refunded to your family accounts. We are currently working through this process.
Academies
Many of our academies operate in terms 1 & 4, others are terms 2 & 3. If we return to school in term 3 a partial refund will be allocated to family accounts for those academies which normally run in term 2. If we do not return, a full refund will be allocated. These will be processed when we have a clearer indication.
Status of your employment
If your employment has changed and you are now unemployed or on job keeper payment, it is vital that we have this information updated as it directly impacts the funding our school receives on an annual basis. Please email Kathryn Ewenson at Kathryn.ewenson@education.vic.gov.au to advise her of your change in status.
You may now be eligible for the Governments Camps/Sports/Excursions support of $225 per child. If so please click on the link below, print and complete this form:
https://www.education.vic.gov.au/Documents/about/programs/health/CSEF-Application-Form-2020.pdf
Once completed, please either scan or take a photo of the form and email it to our Office Manager, Karina Said at Karina.said@education.vic.gov.au
Update on your Finance Statements
Once all the refunds have been processed they will be allocated to any outstanding school charges, with any surpluses held in your family accounts. We will then post home updated statements to all families to ensure you are aware of your current status. Surpluses will remain in your account unless you request they be returned. If you would like this balance returned, please email Sharyn Warren on Sharyn.warren@education.vic.gov.au.
