St Augustine's Day
Mass and Lunchtime Picnic Invitation
On Wednesday 28th August we will celebrate St Augustine’s Day.
This is an opportunity for members of our community to gather and give thanks for all the gifts that being part of the St Augustine’s Community bring into our lives.
We invite all families to gather at 12.30pm for a whole community Mass in the Brigidine Centre followed by a community picnic on the oval for families (weather permitting). Please bring along your lunch and a picnic rug and celebrate with your children and our school community.
We look forward to families joining with us for this celebration.
ICAS Competitions 2019 - Registrations close Friday 23rd August
In our rapidly changing world, it is becoming more and more important for our children to develop strong skills as they progress through their education. While our curriculum-based assessments test a student’s ability to recall what they have learned in a variety of subject areas, we think it’s important to do more than that, particularly in the foundation years of schooling.
Therefore, St Augustine's College will again be participating in ICAS, a comprehensive skills-based program that assesses higher-order thinking and problem-solving skills. We believe ICAS will help provide deep insight into our students’ true capabilities and help us plan more effectively for their future years at school.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
If you would like your child to participate in the 2019 ICAS Competitions, please complete the electronic registration at the following link 2019 ICAS Competitions no later than Friday 23rd August.
PLEASE NOTE, YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE THE FORM FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL CHILD.
