Swimming Carnival

Our annual Year 7 - 12 Swimming Carnival was held in early February. Students showed their team spirit with some bright colours and fun costumes along with high levels of participation across all areas. 

Unwin was the overall winner with Mather coming in second. 

Several records were broken throughout the day, with Sam Castle (Year 7) breaking four records in the Under 13 Boys category and Ella Chan breaking the Under 14 Girls 50m Butterfly Record.

SATIS Success

Our Friends’ School SSATIS swimming team had a great day overall winning four shields at the carnival held on Wednesday 11 March 2020.

 

The team won the following shields:

Senior Boys Shield

Boys Aggregate Shield (shared with Hutchins)

Co-Ed Junior Shield

Co-Ed Aggregate Shield

The team came a close second in the following categories:

Girls Aggregate Shield

Girls Junior Shield

Boys Junior Shield

This is an outstanding effort from our students who showed positivity, good sportsmanship and a great team spirit.

 

A further congratulations to Sam Castle, who now holds the U13 Backstroke SSATIS record and Ella Chan who now holds the U14 Butterfly SSATIS record.

Sailing Victory

Congratulations to the Taz Racing team, the new SB20 Australian Champions! Current Friends’ students Ed Reid and Harry Gregory, along with Friends’ Alumni Will Sargent and teammate Jacob McConaghy took the title at the Spring Bay Mill SB20 Australian Championship. This amazing team also took out the Youth Division.
