Term 3 Week 2
It has been a very smooth start to the new term. The children all came back healthy and happy ready to learn.
Staffing
Hanna Kiely has started teaching at the school on Monday and Wednesday’s in the classroom working with all the year levels with Kate and myself.
Year 3 & 4 Camp and COVID -19
Unfortunately we have had to cancel the cluster Year 3&4 camp at The Outdoor School – 15 mile Creek Campus. This has occurred because school groups from different schools are unable to mix with each other in the current COVID 19 environment. The Moyhu Primary School has now booked a whole school camp at the Outdoor Camp -15 Mile Creek campus for week 9 of the term 3 (7th-11th September). Planning is underway as to the program for this camp.
At this stage Parents and volunteers to the school are unable to participate in excursions or school programs. This includes SAKG which cannot occur at the moment, reading or support work in the school, gardening etc
The snow day to Falls Creek also has been put on hold until after August 19th, we are looking into Mt Buller as it still has lifts operating. We will keep everyone inform as to what is happening as soon as plans are made.
Parent surveys
Thank-you to everyone who has filled in the parent opinion survey. These surveys will help to get a complete picture of the school and it’s programs into the future.
Change of time for Bluearth
For this term Bluearth will be run on every second Friday at 9.00 instead of the every second Thursday morning.
Breakfast club
Due to the change in Bluearth, Breakfast club will still happen on a Friday starting this week, however on the week of Bluearth Breakfast Club will be a lunch rather than a Breakfast, consisting of soup, spaghetti or baked beans on toast.
