Tertiary Virtual Open Days
Now is also the time to start planning and registering for the upcoming Virtual Open Days running from this weekend through to September. Attending these tertiary info events is highly recommended as they provide a unique and valuable opportunity to explore course options and learn about courses of interest from academics and current students, plus explore the services and facilities the institutions have to offer. See the below document for a list of the 2020 Virtual Open Days and advice on Getting the most out of a Virtual Open Day. Please note: as some run on the same day, students are encouraged to register for as many as possible so as to receive notifications from the institutions including recordings of the event if available.
James Cook University (QLD) Virtual Open Days
JCU is holding these Virtual Open Days on Thursday 20 August 4:00pm – 7:00pm and Saturday 22 August 10:00am – 2:00pm.
These events are to provide students with the opportunity to have all their questions answered about studying at JCU. Students considering JCU for tertiary study will be able to:
- Live chat with teaching staff, current students and professional staff about a range of different services such as: careers and employability, admissions, student services and student life.
- Take a 360-degree tour of our state-of-the-art facilities.
- Attend scheduled presentations on a range of courses as well as how to apply.
- Book in a 15-minute chat with one of our career counsellors.
- Hear from our outstanding alumni on their professional journey during and after graduating from JCU, and so much more. Register here.
La Trobe University Webinar Series
La Trobe is still adding new weekly undergraduate webinars to the calendar to help student explore course options. These insightful sessions with academics delve into topical subjects that go beyond the course information. Find out more and register at the following links:
- La Trobe Aspire Early Admissions Applications 101 – Thursday 20 August at 5:00pm (Applications to the La Trobe Aspire program closes 31 August and any student applying are encouraged to attend an Aspire webinar to be fully informed on how to apply, get tips on completing their application and ask any questions).

The Meet Melbourne webinars were recorded so students can take advantage of these informative sessions to learn more about the courses and careers that interest them most.
