Nossal Olympics. Get onboard!
Tokyo 2020 may have had to cancel, but nothing can dampen the spirit of the Nossal Lockdown Olympics!
Starting on Monday 17 August, Nossal will be entering into two weeks of competition where each day poses a physical activity challenge based on several Olympic sports. Such sports include Athletics, Boxing, Golf and Basketball, with no specialty equipment or skills required to take part.
All members of the Nossal community are encouraged to take on as many of the daily fun challenges to get moving and break up their schedule each day. They will challenge not only physical fitness, but also creativity, perseverance and sense of adventure, and provide a much-needed distraction from daily digital learning. After the success of the Iso-Letics, the hope is that participation and enthusiasm will once again be high and representative of the Nossal spirit to embrace the challenge.
Across the two weeks, House Points will be awarded as well as medals for individual champions. Weekend activities will also be provided to encourage members of the Nossal community to embrace the Olympic spirit in a variety of ways.
The House Captains and Leaders have been running the Olympic Torch relay in the lead up, and now the Games have been officially opened by an ex-Olympian. So, without further ado, let the games begin!

Dancing up a storm in Year 9
Throughout the term, our year 9 cohort have been “DANCING LIKE THE STARS.” The PE teachers are currently working on a little side-project, to showcase the enthusiasm, creativity and positive attitude shown by our students throughout the term. They have explored a range of party dances, and have taught their family members to “DANCE LIKE NO-ONE IS WATCHING.” Soon, they will work in small groups to choreograph a dance for their final assessment. Year 9 parents, please check your emails over the next week. I will be sending an email to you, to seek approval to use this footage.
In the meantime, feast your eyes on this.
